10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) is a psychological thriller and the second film in the Cloverfield franchise, directed by Dan Trachtenberg. The story follows Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), who wakes up after a car accident to find herself trapped in an underground bunker. Her captor, Howard (John Goodman), claims that the outside world has been devastated by a mysterious apocalyptic event, making the bunker the only safe place. Along with another survivor, Emmett (John Gallagher Jr.), Michelle must navigate Howard’s increasingly erratic behavior and decide whether to trust his story.
