Doctor Gulliver, struggling with poverty and restless despite his fiancée Elisabeth, joins a ship bound for India but is swept overboard during a storm. He washes ashore on an island inhabited by tiny people who initially view him with suspicion. After proving himself harmless, Gulliver earns their trust and citizenship.

The island’s king soon enlists Gulliver in a looming conflict against a race of giants. In this world of extremes, Gulliver himself appears as a giant compared to the miniature inhabitants, yet he seems tiny when facing the enormous enemies. Caught between two vastly different societies, Gulliver must navigate this strange and perilous new environment.
