When a commercial flight’s crew is incapacitated by food poisoning, it’s up to ex-fighter pilot Ted Striker (Robert Hays) to overcome his fear of flying and land the plane safely. Onboard is his former flame Elaine Dickinson (Julie Hagerty), now a flight attendant, whose presence adds emotional turbulence to an already chaotic situation. As passengers panic and the situation spirals, Ted must confront his past, regain his confidence, and guide the aircraft to safety with the help of a hilariously dysfunctional ground crew.

Packed with slapstick humor, visual gags, and rapid-fire parody, the story spoofs disaster films while following a reluctant hero navigating personal redemption and airborne absurdity.
