Barbie of Swan Lake (2003) is an animated fantasy film, part of the Barbie movie series, and is based on Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet Swan Lake. The story follows Odette, a young girl (voiced by Kelly Sheridan), who stumbles upon an enchanted forest after following a unicorn named Lila. There, she discovers that the forest is under a dark spell cast by the evil wizard Rothbart, who aims to take over the kingdom. Rothbart transforms Odette into a swan, but the Fairy Queen partially reverses the spell, allowing her to regain her human form by night.

As Odette strives to break the curse, she meets Prince Daniel, who falls in love with her. Together, they must find a way to defeat Rothbart and save the enchanted forest. With themes of courage, friendship, and self-discovery, Barbie of Swan Lake features magical landscapes, ballet sequences, and a musical score based on Tchaikovsky’s work, offering a modern retelling of the beloved fairy tale.
