Professor Julian Fuchs and his colleague Corbeck bring the mummified body of the ancient Egyptian Queen Tera, known as the Queen of Darkness, to England after an archaeological expedition. Their discovery sets off a series of eerie and unsettling events centered around Fuchs’s daughter, Margaret. As the mummy’s dark influence begins to spread, Margaret becomes increasingly vulnerable to forces beyond her control.

Under Corbeck’s sinister guidance, malevolent powers seek to possess Margaret, aiming to fulfill a long-standing prophecy that Queen Tera will rise again to resume her reign of terror. The narrative unfolds within the confines of England, involving key figures such as Professor Berrigan and Dr. Putnum, who become entangled in the unsettling mystery surrounding the ancient curse.
