Neurologist Dr. Steele wakes up with no memory of the past several days and soon learns that his wife has been murdered under suspiciously violent circumstances. Troubled by his knowledge of her unfaithfulness and unsure of his own actions during the blackout, he begins to doubt his innocence.

Determined to uncover the truth, Steele enlists the help of his nurse Stella, who uses hypnosis to help him recover lost memories. As they delve deeper into his mind, Steele confronts unsettling revelations that blur the lines between victim and suspect.
