A young boy eagerly reads the latest issue of his favorite comic book, which features three chilling stories. One tale centers on a vengeful wooden Native American figure who haunts those who cross his path. Another unfolds around a monstrous creature lurking beneath the surface of a quiet lake, terrorizing those nearby. The final story follows a relentless hitchhiker who refuses to let go once he picks up unsuspecting travelers.

The stories introduce a cast of distinctive characters including Ray and Martha Spruce, Annie Lansing, Randy, and Andy Cavanaugh, each encountering their own nightmarish challenges in eerie settings. From isolated roads to remote lakesides, the eerie events blur the lines between fantasy and horror, with supernatural forces weaving through each narrative. The presence of a sinister vehicle and a mysterious truck driver further heightens the sense of dread across the three tales.
