Three middle-aged men arrive in California hoping to enjoy the sun and surf along the beach, bringing with them the trappings of wealth including a stylish cabriolet and a nice apartment. Despite their efforts, they quickly discover that these possessions alone do not attract the attention of the local young women and fail to impress. Frustrated by their lack of success, they decide to enlist the help of a college student named Scotty.

At first, Scotty and his girlfriend are put off by the men’s antics and the nature of the job, but as he gets involved, Scotty begins to see how he can turn the situation into a win-win for everyone. Together, they navigate the challenges of attracting the beach crowd and figure out how to use their respective strengths for mutual benefit. The story captures the clash between youthful energy and middle-aged determination set against the sunny backdrop of California’s coast.
