Wayne “Mad Dog” Dobie is a reserved police officer whose calm nature belies his tough nickname. After he unexpectedly saves Frank Milo, a local crime boss with a side ambition in stand-up comedy, Frank offers Wayne a favor: the temporary company of Glory, an attractive waitress. Although both Wayne and Glory feel awkward about the arrangement at first, they begin to form a genuine connection during their week together.

Complications arise when Frank insists that Glory returns to him, challenging the fragile bond that has developed between her and Wayne. The tension between a law enforcement officer, a crime figure, and the woman caught in between sets the stage for a delicate balance of loyalty, affection, and power. The story plays out in an environment where personal relationships clash with criminal interests and authority.
