When an alien spacecraft misinterprets classic 1980s video games as a declaration of war, it sends pixelated versions of these characters to attack major cities, including New York. To combat the digital invasion, the military enlists former arcade champions, including Sam Brenner, to defend Earth.

Sam teams up with his childhood friend Eddie and a quirky tech specialist to take on iconic game foes such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. As the pixelated threats escalate, the team must use their gaming skills to outsmart and defeat the vivid enemies, racing against time to save the city from complete digital destruction.
