Ashitaka, the last prince of the Emishi people, is afflicted by a curse after confronting a boar god transformed by rage. In search of a cure, he travels west toward a forest consumed by conflict between the natural world and human industrial expansion. There, he encounters San, a fierce young woman raised by wolves who fiercely defends the ancient woodland and its creatures from destruction.

Opposing San is Lady Eboshi, the leader of a nearby settlement whose ironworks and ambition threaten the forest’s survival. As tensions rise between the encroaching humans and the gods and spirits of the forest, Ashitaka finds himself caught in the struggle. Tasked with preventing further devastation, he must navigate the clash between preservation and progress in a land where the line between nature and humanity grows ever thinner.
