Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist, lives a quiet life in San Francisco until he is unexpectedly drawn back into the world of the Ten Rings, a secretive and powerful organization. He must face his complicated family history, including his father Wenwu, the leader of the Ten Rings, whose grip on the organization and its ancient mystical artifacts threatens global stability.

As Shang-Chi is forced to confront challenges from his past, he encounters allies such as his friend Katy and his sister Xialing, while traveling between familiar urban landscapes and the mythical village Ta Lo. The story builds around his struggle to reconcile his identity with the legacy of the Ten Rings and the power they wield.
