Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 1 follows the support crew of the USS Cerritos, one of Starfleet’s many less-celebrated starships tasked with the routine work of second contact missions and day-to-day operations. Ensigns Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, D’Vana Tendi, and Sam Rutherford navigate the challenges of junior officer life while finding themselves caught up in unexpected adventures, bizarre alien encounters, and the occasional galaxy-threatening crisis. As they strive to prove themselves, their friendships and wildly different personalities often create as much chaos as the missions themselves.

Blending fast-paced comedy with affectionate references to every era of Star Trek, Star Trek: Lower Decks offers a fresh and humorous perspective on life in Starfleet. The first season combines clever satire, energetic animation, and heartfelt character development while celebrating the optimism, exploration, and adventurous spirit that have defined the franchise for decades.
