The Blue Lagoon (1980)

After a shipwreck in the South Pacific, two young cousins—Emmeline (Brooke Shields) and Richard (Christopher Atkins)—are stranded on a remote tropical island with only a ship’s cook to care for them. When he later dies, the children are left to survive on their own. As they grow up isolated from the rest of the world, they must learn to adapt to nature and care for each other, forming a deep bond that blossoms into love and leads to the discovery of intimacy and parenthood.

Set against a lush, unspoiled backdrop, the story explores themes of innocence, coming of age, and the natural evolution of human connection in the absence of society’s influence.
