The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952)


Young Robin Hood, deeply devoted to Maid Marian, competes against his father in an archery contest held at the King’s palace. Following a tragic turn when his father is killed by Prince John’s men, Robin retreats to Sherwood Forest. There, he chooses to live as an outlaw, gathering a loyal group of comrades known as the Merry Men.

Determined to challenge the oppressive rule of Prince John, who burdens the people with heavy taxes, Robin leads his band to protect the locals and seek justice. The story unfolds largely in Sherwood Forest, where Robin’s skills and leadership rally those opposed to the prince’s harsh regime.
