Thirteen centers on 13-year-old Tracy, whose life shifts dramatically when she becomes friends with Evie, the most popular girl at school. As Tracy is drawn into Evie’s world, she encounters parties, risky behavior, and the pressures of fitting in with a crowd that indulges in sex, drugs, and money.

As Tracy embraces this new lifestyle, the strain begins to affect her relationships with her family, particularly her mother, played by Holly Hunter. The film examines the challenges Tracy faces navigating adolescence while caught between her old life and the dangerous allure of Evie’s influence.
